Hi I have a td5 90 with a 150,000 on I've taken it to be chipped today n there is now no boost the chap said my turbo has gone I'm looking to replace with a hybrid turbo by I've heard the older td5 engines aren't so good for maximum tuning does any one give me sum advice weather this is a good idea or not or any other recomandations how to get it running sweet again ie recon turbo or just a second hand one many thanks sam

Just pop on to the "introduce yourself" thread,bit about you and some details about your motor.
Then go post your question in the Defender section,bring some thick skin,hard hat and try not to spit your dummy out when the fun begins,folk round here like that.
This section is used for when you break down,like a kind of free RAC.
Oh yeah.......................never ever ever ask anything to do with tyres before searching all old threads unless you have got your hard hat on.

You need to check all hoses and do a boost pressure check. Is it smoking bad/burning oil??

Must be ****. Decent tuner should give the car a health check before ****ing around with maps etc.
