    Output oil seal

Also if you have bought a shiitpart seal, i would bin it and buy a genuine seal. Otherwise you will be likely to be doing the whole job again in about 12 months time!

    Sticky Pedal

Hi Adz, i'm referring to the actual pedal itself rather than the master cylinder. At the top of the pedal 'arm' there is a big hinge/fulcrum/pivot whatever you call it! located in the top of the pedal box. Mine had dried/rusted and was sticking so when you pushed the pedal fully down it stayed...

    Sticky Pedal

If there is alot of slack in the pedal as you push it down you can remove this by adjusting the nuts in the top of the pedal box. Under the bonnet clutch pedal housing you will see a plate with six screws, remove the plate and you will see the adjustable nuts and a locknut, be careful that you...

Water in Passenger Footwell - '06 Def 90

I would be more surprised if a defender owner posted on here that their land rover never had a leak into the footwell!

too hot its now bloody annoying

I had a similar problem with a N/A and ended up changing thermostat, sender and then the rad as it was looking a bit dodgy but still had odd problems with the temperature which in the end turned out to be the gauge. Nothing visibly broken but just shagged. New gauge (second hand) and problem...

South Shropshire, about 4/5 years ago. haven't heard of any problems since. I think CRAG did some work which made everyone happy.

    Anti 4 x 4

The worst i had was a group of us went to remove a concrete block from a v gullied lane (which allegedly the farmer had pushed down the bank to block it). We parked at one end and walked up to look, noting that the 'farmer' had appeared in his truck and then drove away. By the time we had come...

    High Low and Diff Lock

both, the lever will be like a figure of eight without diagonal movements. So high or low without difflock or high and low with difflock. Neutral in the middle.

    High Low and Diff Lock

Yes, left side diff lock on, right side diff lock off. You can select on the move. Forward position is low range, rear position is high range. You must stop to change from low/high etc. You should notice a significant difference in speed from high to low. 2nd low is slower than 1st high if...

    Transfer box output flange

104,000 We replaced the gearbox last year as the old one was shot, the internals of the tran look just fine. When i replaced the front prop the sliding joint was solid, the lack of movement could be what caused the flange to wear so quickly? The back propshaft wasn't as bad but i wonder if ti...

    Transfer box output flange

The only thing it can be is the rear output from the tran box, with the front flange knackered it won't surprise me when i get the brake drum off to find the rear flange worn too, the vibration and sound just feels more to the front.
