I am in the process of rebuilding my 110 and I have used a td5 chassis modified to take a 300tdi, the fuel pump is in the tank on the td5 so can I blank off the mechanical pump on the 300tdi engine and run it on the electric one in the tank?

Thanks for that I will check it out tomorrow, I have just stripped the inlet manifold and its got a layer of soft oily crud inside and the inlet ports and backs of the inlet valves are thick with it to, so if the seals are going on the turbo have gone will this cause this build up?
