Mine did this and it was the wheel bearing as mentioned. It was obvious when jacked up, you could wobble the wheel.

Cheers. Just measured it s bit more accurately and got 240cm on one and 243 on the other which gives me 1.2% ish. Going to be doing all 4 I think now as theres some tread but too road biased for where im starting to get out to!

If they are black you could use some wd40 brings them up quite nicely. Though you will have to keep using it as it fades in the weather.

I had a similar problem on an old non rover car. Turns out the bulb was slightly shorter though of the correct type. All I did was bend up the bottom connector so that it put more pressure on the bulb. Might be worth checking?

Many thanks for the reply! I went to a different place and got a tyre fitted. Ifeally id like to put 235's on but one tyre was cheaper than 4! It has the old rrc wheels I believe at the minute. Think I may get modulars so I dont need tubes eventually.

Hello all, i've searched but not found anything yet that helps me. I had a blow out on the defender which is running 265/75/16 tyres on a 6.5" rim with a tube. I went to get a replacement and was told that it was illegal to have this set up and the shop (an indy. land rover specialist) refused...

cheers. i used to have a series 3 so know where to look for rust etc. it seems pretty tidy other than old underseal all i could see else was a bit of rust on the tank protector and the springs. its being mot'd today so will see if it raises anything i couldnt reach!

cheers, I looked at similar age and mileage and it seems a decent price i think.It has side step/sliders but thats about it. tyres are a/t coopers I think. does need a new seal for vent, but thats about it i think. Cant do a pic at work, blocks the photo sites! I'll have a go later! thanks! Taggy
