I changed my stop/tail bulbs a few months ago and ever since one of my brake lights has been playing up, intermittently not working.

Am I right on saying a 300tdi stop/tail bulb should have two connections (dont know the correct term) on the base, or just one?

Its called double or single contact globes, check for corrosion where the electric connector plugs into the globe holder.

Yes, double filament bulbs. Two contacts. I would have thought they're the same as mine and have pins parallel to each other as shown in the first diagram.

I had a similar problem on an old non rover car. Turns out the bulb was slightly shorter though of the correct type. All I did was bend up the bottom connector so that it put more pressure on the bulb. Might be worth checking?

I'll give that a try, thanks. I recall that when I replaced the bulb I also replaced the lamp holder which was a Britpart item. I guess that says it all:mad:
