    Discovery 2 rough running

Hi all I finally got around to replacing the clutch and as you all said it was the crank sensor causing the rough running. This brings me to my next problem. I replaced the clutch, release bearing, slave cylinder and push rod but can’t seem to get a good enough clutch to change gear smoothly...

    Discovery 2 rough running

Thanks so much for all the responses. I am pretty sure the release bearing has failed as it's always been a bit noisy but makes a terrible noise now. I will change it over the weekend and check the sensor then. I will let you all know what the outcome is once done

I replaced with a genuine one and that appeared to clear that fault. I will check the crank sensor over the weekend thanks for your help

Do you think it could be related to the clutch problem?

    Discovery 2 rough running

Hi I have a td5 that is running rough. I changed the injector harness, cleaned out the ECU and it had not effect. There was no oil in the ECU. I have connected up hawkeye and the only code that picked up was maf sensor so I replaced that and the live data from that is good now. I get high air...

    Discovery 2 rough running

Hi My discovery 2 td5 has developed what seems like a misfire. I have changed the injector harness and also removed the ECU and cleaned it all. There was no obvious oil in the ECU. I plugged in hawkeye and the only thing that picked up was maf voltage was 0.3v and never changed. I have changed...

Instrument panel not working on d2

Hi reo24 I have not actually fixed the problem but found that under the dash there is a connector which has 2 plugs going into it, when I disconnect one of them it all works except the fuel gauge. I will try to send you a picture later so you can see what I have done mate

My d2 seems really sluggish. I recently freed off the turbo waste gate which stopped the spluttering under load but it's still really slow on inclines. I usually end up in third gear crawling up steep hills. Any ideas would be appreciated

Instrument panel not working on d2

I will have a look at it tonight mate, thanks so much for your help. I cluster did not cost much so will soon get my money back on that. I am guessing I will still need to get the mileage synced by landrover when its working though?

Instrument panel not working on d2

I have just done what you said and all the voltages are correct. I looked in the plug and moved connection 18 about and it flickers on and off so I suspect a bad connection in there. Can I buy that pug or new connections

Instrument panel not working on d2

Hi mate. I have checked the voltage in again at pin 19 and that's perfect, I have also checked the earth path and that shows about 0.6 on my meter. I replaced the clocks but the problem still exists. Could it be because they need syncing with nanocom as the old set of clocks had also been...
