CHECK YOUR OIL LEVEL!!!!!! sorry for shouting but I had lots of problems with my gearbox and it turns out it had a slight leak, the level dropped and my gearbox started to play up. I am now waiting for it to go into a garage to get the gearbox removed and the seal replaced.

Hi all How long should it take to remove the gearbox on a 52 plate td5 auto and replace the oil seal on the torque convertor? Do I need to remove the transfer box and is there any specialist tools required? Thanks

Sorry Martin but what makes you say turbo? Why would the oil be dripping out from the front of the engine? I have looked at the turbo and it looks ok. There is no broken blades or axial float.....

well its not the oil cooler thats for sure. I have stripped the intercooler out and the cooler and pipes are fine but my intercooler pipes, egr replacement and inlet manifold are full of oil but I cant smell diesel in it although I do have the cold......
