    Dead Freelander TD4

Is that a forum rule then:confused:? I’m also a senior member/contributor on another, large forum so I understand forum protocol! I didn’t see the point in leaving the thread open as it was down to a totally “blonde” moment on my behalf :confused2:. But, for the record, I totally missed the...

    Rear door wont unlock

Just used car to drop wife off at work & after 3 days not working, the problem seems to have cured itself. Both door & window now working & hopefully will stay that way so I’m none the wiser. I assume it may be connection problem? Is there a window position sensor located in there somewhere?

    Rear door wont unlock

Thanks for responding. It could be either I suppose, I don’t know & hence the post; no operation problems prior but now door won’t open & window won’t operate. First port of call was obviously the fuse but that’s OK. At the moment I can’t open the door so stumped...

    Thick black smoke

Hi all, bit late in replying but it turned out to be a 20mm split in the turbo feed hose. Easy fix but I think 25 quid is a tad expensive for an overgrown radiator hose! still, all is back to normal again although I can't help but wonder for just how long!

    Thick black smoke

Hi all I posted a couple of months ago regarding a lack of power from my wife's TD4 when pulling away & on hills. A diagnostic check reported no faults!! Armed with infor from you guys, I asked the mechanic to check the air flow meter out; result - one new meter fitted & it went like a sports...

TD4 power loss when pulling away.

Hi Will I ‘m an Engineer & have always done my own servicing/repairs/rebuilds, whatever for my own cars & for other members of my family; but I’ve not kept up with the modern stuff & diesels in particular are a bit of a new entity to me. The mechanics are still basically the same...

TD4 power loss when pulling away.

My wife has had her 01 65,000 mile TD4 for around 15 months now, I don’t drive it that much but always thought it was very sluggish. Never having owned a diesel before let alone a 4 x 4, I thought it must be normal until I bought a 200,000 mile Brava truck (Isuzu engine) to fetch & carry...
