Sounds like your A/C fans are not working. It will get cooler as you drive as you get air through your condenser and that wind rush stops when you are stationary.

I've fitted a 1 1/2" spacer which extends the reach of the towbar. Never had a problem fitting the alko hitch and never had to remove the spare. I have just changed the caravan and that has the winterhoff hitch, again no problem.

Did you replace the one at the back of the engine on the turbo.

I used a Stanley knife with a nice new carpet cutting blade when I did mine. It did a nice tidy job.

Out of interest, whats the mileage on the td4.

5 hoses are the full set. 4 can be seen looking at the engine from above, the 5th is accessed from under the car at the back of the engine and is attached to the turbo. Or you could get 6 hoses and replace the air intake hose at the same time.

when ordering parts for you're car we are faced with numerous brands, Bearmach,FAI, Britpart, First line etc. If you can't buy OE which of these would best be avoided and which comes recommended. I've only mentioned four brand I'm sure there's others.

I`ve got a TDI tuning box fitted. Its one of the earlier £80 ones so once programmed it cant be changed. The ones that cost £250-£300 can be reprogrammed to other vehicles so you just swop it car to car. Its the best mod I`ve fitted and completely transformed the car.

They remove the inside of the DPF making it straight through then re-programme the ECU not to regenerate it. Apparently as long as the DPF is in situ it will pass the MOT as its only a smoke test.

I've just done a brim to brim fill after towing my 1600 kg caravan over the weekend. 21mpg, it's a td4 HSE auto. Pretty pleased really.

If you have folding mirrors it's the same switch you use to adjust your mirrors in or out. Just centralise the switch and push downwards. It would have an arrow pointing down on the switch if you have the folding function.

Do you have folding mirrors on yours. Maybe they are not locked in place. Mine did that so I pressed the folding mirror switch a couple of times and found they hadn't locked in place. It went through the open/close sequence a couple of times and they are fine now.

Why not swop MAF sensors and see if yours becomes the Drives like a dream car.
