    You can always use a ratchet strap or plenty of tie-wraps between the spring coils to give a bit of safety should the clamp(s) slip.

    Has anyone on here done the Ashcroft conversion to high ratio transfer box, if so were there any problems? I've heard its a good conversion to do to improve normal driveability day to day, so I'm thinking about it. Are any special tools needed? Thanks in anticipation

    Headlights not working

    Mine had a similar problem. It turned out to be the headlight connections (bullet connectors) under the bonnet slam panel. Clean these well and check the earths.

    Handled like a boat without a Rudder

    Had similar problems after changing the steering rods for HD ones. Used a very similar method to set the toe-in (the LR manual is pretty good at explaining/giving measurements for the rods/toe-in). Now it's on rails and no sudden veering off.
