Disco 2 Adjusting the suspension height

Had to have some welding done on the chassis of my disco around the shock absorber mount and have also replaced the ride height sensor on that side of car, it broke when being taken off. Everything is back together but with the engine running the suspension is too high on one side. The driver’s...

Disco 2 Headlights Bolt heads snapped

I did the same but fortunately only broke one bolt. I took my headlight out using the cross head screws and then drilled the broken bolt out and simply used a long bolt, large washer and locking nut to hold the plastic mounting plate in place. It was a bit of a pain but It did it on my drive...

Disco 2 pipes attached to fuel pump

I am in the process of removing the fuel pump but there is no movement in the left hand pipe (the white tagged one). The other 3 pipes are fine and move easily. Is there anything between the boot floor and the top of the fuel tank that the pipe might be caught on?

My modifications this week - photo thread

Hi, I also have a leak at the front of the gutter but am struggling to get the trim off. How did you get the plastic trim off the corner of the gutter without breaking it? In the pic it looks like you moved the window pillar cover? If so what is the method because mine is very tight and...

    TD5 vibration at 2000 rpm

I also have an intermittent vibration that you can feel through the accelerator pedal but mine will vibrate off and on for 3 or 4 days and then won't happen again for a few weeks. I have convinced myself (rightly or wrongly) that it is the acoustic cover or the oil filler flap on the cover that...

    Ride Comfort

I have 7 seats, air suspension and no ace. I changed from 18s with wrangler HP tyres to 16s with Grabber AT as I needed a more off road tyre and I wasn't happy with the ride quality. The main improvement was the stability on the motorway which was vastly better. The ride was less harsh but...

    Removing Air Con Panel

As Grahame says it is a bit fiddly. If you look at the video at 36 seconds you can see the metal clips on the side of the unit and how they move. To release the unit you need to squeeze the clip in towards the air con unit. There is a small lip on the front of the clip which helps. You don't...

    Facelift Headlight Security Kit

To Otimus Prime, just because we ask some questions relevant to the product being offered you make some generalizations in your post suggesting that cambridgecockney and I are litigious and whingers but you know nothing about us so I suggest you keep your stereotyping to yourself. If the...

    Small puddle in passenger footwell

As already said check your air con drains. If they are blocked the water backs up until it leaks inside the car. If you lie under the car and look up to just in front of where the gearstick would be then they are 2 short tubes one each side of the bulkhead. Give them a squeeze and see what...

    Facelift Headlight Security Kit

Hi WolfyDave, can I ask a couple of questions? I have a facelift disco. If someone stole the headlights then I am assuming the repair would be 2 headlights, replacing any broken fittings, repairing bodywork and repainting which I guess is an insurance claim. If I had your security kit fitted...
