Update: replaced aftermarket boost pin with standard pin and spacer, normal service is resumed. Can’t figure it out though, why would this upgraded pin which is supposed to give more power actually sucks all the low end power away. Definitely didn’t install it incorrectly. Anyway, thanks Lynall...

I have not tried it with the std boost pin maybe that’s a good place to start. I did use correct timing pins for belt change.

Pedal box wise I’d go for one which stays attached and folds flat on the floor when not in use. The cheaper ones have to be removed and stowed and they’re big and heavy

I would certainly buy it. My 19j served me well for thousands of miles and when it finally blew the head gasket I swapped it for a 200tdi.
