    Camshaft bearing damage

It looks to me like the edge of the bearing is all chewed up and damaged. You have to zoom in a bit

    Camshaft bearing damage

Hi all. I’ve been chasing a low oil pressure problem for a while and have discovered damage on the number 4 camshaft bearing. Having read lots of helpful threads on here I’m fairly certain this is the problem but if anyone can throw any light on it I’d be grateful. Picture attached, it’s a...

    200tdi low end power problem

Update: replaced aftermarket boost pin with standard pin and spacer, normal service is resumed. Can’t figure it out though, why would this upgraded pin which is supposed to give more power actually sucks all the low end power away. Definitely didn’t install it incorrectly. Anyway, thanks Lynall...

    200tdi low end power problem

I have not tried it with the std boost pin maybe that’s a good place to start. I did use correct timing pins for belt change.

    200tdi low end power problem

Good day to you. I’ve been converting my 110 into a camper and it has not been driven for almost a year. Now it’s pretty much done and I’ve got a problem with no power low down. Once it comes on boost it’s fine but it feels like starting off in 3rd gear. Recent engine work which could have upset...

    Anti theft

Pedal box wise I’d go for one which stays attached and folds flat on the floor when not in use. The cheaper ones have to be removed and stowed and they’re big and heavy

    Anyone know what this is?

Unidentified module bolted inside the dash behind the instruments. Doing a cleanse of surplus wiring.

Would you buy a <1988 19J in a well preserved Ninety?

I would certainly buy it. My 19j served me well for thousands of miles and when it finally blew the head gasket I swapped it for a 200tdi.

    Defeated

Seems wasteful to sell it now that you’ve invested in it so heavily. You’ve still got a brand new cylinder head still so if you were to go down the reconditioned engine route it would only be the bottom end. If it really is only piston rings I’d have them replaced but be wary that low...

    Double battery circuit diagram

I run 2 Numax batteries connected by a voltage sensitive relay. My alternator is upgraded to 100 amps and I have a simple voltage gauge to keep an eye on things. It’s a bit low tech these days but it works well.

... one of these replacement turbo cartridges from eBay. They seem to be a cheaper than getting a rebuild done - this one is supposedly even hybrid. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323421098606

    Mystery electrical problem

Thanks for the input. Not much further and I have found earth continuity through the switched live that powers the radio and also 12v through the wire from the temp sensor to the gauge as soon as the key is switched on. That's all wrong!
