    Hello from California.

Looks like a good project, Randy. Get rid of those 4" amber lenses -- if you can get them (I probably have one or two spare somewhere..), they are seriously overpriced. Because you can't get them. Unless you are into 100% original. You will be just as happy and serviceable with replacement...

    130 or 110?

Not sure this is still relevant, but...I have a 130 dropside -- handles the weight well and it's fine day-to-day. Even in city driving. My comparison is a '67 109 pick-up I used to have, so can't comment on the 110. The 130's big, but as long as you know what you're doing, it's not too unwieldy.

    commercial insurance for defender

Any luck, border patrol? I have a W-reg D130 which is insured for business purposes, and my insurance is pretty low. About £200 I think, and that's without "no claims." and my wife as a named driver (although she won't). I use Aviva. So far so good. Try them online.

    Inroducing myself

I just got a Defender after looking for about 18 months (I was looking for pretty specific (and needed wifely permission), so it took a while. Sources were mainly eBay, Trovit (car ad aggregator), Auto Trader, and some specialist dealers to compare prices. Eventually found a link to an...

    Hello from Cambridge

Hello LandyZone, I'm on my fourth Land Rover (1971 Series IIA 88, 1967 NADA 109 6 Cyl SW, 1966 ex-MoD 109 PU, and now a 2000 130 TD5 Crew cab Dropside). The Series trucks were all in the US, but now I'm in the UK, and have finally gotten what I have been lusting after for 15 years or so...
