Been thinking about changing my Disco 3 recently as it has been fairly problematic over the last few months, and work has got heavier.

I am having to get the loan of a van to carry 1500kgs as the Disco is at her limit at about half that.......so it set me thinking.

The 130hcpu is capable, but are they very awkward for day to day work?

As that weight is not a frequent load would a 110 handle it and be better day to day? Can you up the rear suspension to carry the extra weight??

I use a couple of different types of 130 for work, including doing off road training, they're just as capable and easy for day to day work, as usual a rubbish turning circle but that's nowt new

Is the turning circle much worse than the 110, I was told adjusting the stoppers and some wheel spacers can help the 110!

the turning circle doesn't feel much different

on the load carrying question, most of em I drive are box back ambulances so not very light but handle the weight really well on and off road

Not sure this is still relevant, but...I have a 130 dropside -- handles the weight well and it's fine day-to-day. Even in city driving. My comparison is a '67 109 pick-up I used to have, so can't comment on the 110. The 130's big, but as long as you know what you're doing, it's not too unwieldy.
