I remember something similar happening to a guy whilst winching. He left it in gear with the ignition on. The winching vehicle got pulled forwards bump starting the engine. :doh:

If you read their T&C's, in section 18, they admit that they are not road legal and are for off road use only. ;)

OE HID headlights are desinged so that they don't blind oncoming vehicles. HID lamps have a different beam pattern to normal headlights, so unless you fit a headlamp unit that is deigned for HID bulbs you will be blinding oncoming traffic.

No, I just needed to remove the sensor as I was changing the exhaust and couldn't apply enough force to the spanner while the exhaust was still attached to the vehicle. thanks anyway though.

Thank you. I finally found out where it is after removing almost all of the centre console :doh:

Changed intermediate exhaust pipe, adjusted handbrake, changed oil and filters and fitted new wiper blades.

The fuse would be my first item to check, followed by the switch and then the relay.

I know this might seem like a silly question, but have you checked the chassis alignment and dimensions? In order to fit the body from a series 2, which has an 88" wheel base, onto Defender chassis, which has a 92.5" wheel base (assuming a 90chassis was used) requires a bit of chassis...

Upgrading brakes is fine, but many people seem to overestimate the improvement they will get from upgrading. The first thing they don't seem to realise, is that vented, grooved or drilled discs do not improve stopping power. What they do improve is brake cooling. So unless you are finding that...

If you have half an inch of play, it is unlikely that there will be any swivel bearing left to adjust. I thought mine was bad with about 3mm of play.:eek:
