    Hard tow

I remember something similar happening to a guy whilst winching. He left it in gear with the ignition on. The winching vehicle got pulled forwards bump starting the engine.

    HID units in standard headlights

If you read their T&C's, in section 18, they admit that they are not road legal and are for off road use only. ;)

    HID units in standard headlights

OE HID headlights are desinged so that they don't blind oncoming vehicles. HID lamps have a different beam pattern to normal headlights, so unless you fit a headlamp unit that is deigned for HID bulbs you will be blinding oncoming traffic.

Hi all. I was hoping someone can help with a problem I have with the missus' 1.8 Freelander. I need to access the plug for the rear lambda sensor, the one after the cat. I have removed the red water/dust seal from under the vehicle, but I can't get the plug through the hole to disconnect it. It...

    Jaunty Lean!

I know this might seem like a silly question, but have you checked the chassis alignment and dimensions? In order to fit the body from a series 2, which has an 88" wheel base, onto Defender chassis, which has a 92.5" wheel base (assuming a 90chassis was used) requires a bit of chassis...

    Brake upgrade 300tdi?

Upgrading brakes is fine, but many people seem to overestimate the improvement they will get from upgrading. The first thing they don't seem to realise, is that vented, grooved or drilled discs do not improve stopping power. What they do improve is brake cooling. So unless you are finding that...

    play in front swivel

If you have half an inch of play, it is unlikely that there will be any swivel bearing left to adjust. I thought mine was bad with about 3mm of play.

ex army defender 110 diesel, starter issue

The clicking in the cab is most likely to be the starter relay. If you can start the engine by shorting the starter motor contacts, then it could be that this relay is faulty. If not the relay, then depending on the starter motor you have, you may be able to strip and clean the motor and solenoid.

    tyre sizes

The aaaagggghhhh! was more likely because the "what tyre size?" question is the most asked, and most answered question on the forum, and possibly any forum ever!

    Have a giggle at this

Well considering that the Disco 2 has a higher towing capacity, higher load capacity, better axle articulation, better ground clearance and better approach and departure angles, I think the answer is quite a lot.
