after spending the morning trying to get my old tractor started I'd managed to roll it part way down a lane and had to tow it back to where it started from. Hooked the disco up to it and tied the steering straight and set off and stalled.
Down to low box and set off again and started dragging it up the slope, slipping and jumping all the way. I couldn't understand it, 2.5 tonne shouldn't be that hard.................
Till I had a look at the tractor, I'd left it in gear
Just goes to show though these old landys can tow just about anything, don't trust the hand brake though, it rolled back and damn near flattened me when I was unhitching doh.....:D

:p it's all good fun, it can always be worse :D Besides it in forward and I was towing it backwards lol

I once tower a mate up a muddy field he was in a 110, I was in my 90, I got to the top and said that took some pulling I had to put my lockers in, his reply, I forgot to take the handbrake off,

I once used my 8274 winch to bump start my Landy off my van as my jump leads weren't long enough and parked up to a wall, after I realised I could have put the jump leads onto the winch,

Reminds me of a chap I know, he did his national service in the RAF where they had him towing planes about with one of those little tractors. Well he wanted a brew so he drove to the Naffy where there was a painted box you had to park in, the box was full with other tractors so he thought he would push them up with his tractor and go in for a brew. Well you guessed it all the tractors were left in gear, hand brake off which resulted with him chasing them all over the air field and being put on a charge.
