Got myself a 1968 swb V8 converted Landi so never going to be as it left the factory again, which is part for some fun when not in the defender and other to restore as a modified landi chassis up.
will prob go with a standard V8 colour but what paint would you recommend for the interior. needs...

morning all.
i'm looking for the part number, or someone who has a pair of windscreen vents for my 2a.
these would be the plastic type not the round metal type which sit on a type of extended dash. see picture below of what i need. thanks all.

So took the plunge at the week end, now a proud owner of a Series 2a swb V8. (SDI engine)
a lot a work to do over the coming months but thinking have some fun with the roof off during spring.
need to rebuild the twin SU HIF6 carbs tho.
need a clear exploded diagram if any about. can get plenty...

thing is my td5 pretty much needs nothing now. not sure why people complain so much about td5's and leaks. mine now has no water leaks in and no oil out. lol
need a real challenge.

So from the apricated comments it would seem the best options are.
1.find a series with a V8 as standard
2.modify a standard landi and add a v8 rover 3.5 / 3.9 i guess these would be from a P38 range rover?
As said not looking to modify a 90/110 as already have 1 i use daily.

pretty normal on a defender in the sub zero temperatures. have problems on my passenger side. works perfect from spring onwards. normally someone has filled the lock mech up with thick grease. unfortunately the lock is a **** to get out. spray plenty of wd40 into the lock. and white plastic...

to replace 2 doors to second hand puma doors which wont rot like the standard td5's will cost you at least £1500 plus paint.

looked at this with mine, was advised needed seats and seat belts fitted in the rear.

sp 4x4 replaced both mine and ignition to the later puma style. (longer key) never had any probs after that.
