Hello

I am after some advice, this weekend I have decided to tackle a job that never got finished and thats the offside passenger door lock actuator. When you remote lock it there's movement but only a minimal amount that's not enough to lock the door. Today after work I found the spare actuator in the car so decided to give it a go.

After removing the Handles and door card, there's a foam sound proofing that has a few tears in it that I am assuming are from my father in-law taking a look at the job. under the foam there's a metal panel that is kindly in the way of the actuator. I removed enough bolts to give me enough room to finally remove and replace the actuator. after all this it still doesn’t lock properly, I think it’s definitely improved and more hit and miss now it by far feel smoother the the near side door which just doesn’t want to lock or unlock. Is there a way of adjusting anything?

Other than the bolts nothing else was removed or replaced. I am little stumped at the moment.

Thanks

pretty normal on a defender in the sub zero temperatures. have problems on my passenger side. works perfect from spring onwards. normally someone has filled the lock mech up with thick grease. unfortunately the lock is a **** to get out. spray plenty of wd40 into the lock. and white plastic pivot inside the inner metal door card.
