    Disco 2 Rear Suspension issue

I manually deflated the bag by unscrewing the pipe from the valve block, back to roughly normal ride height and as soon as I drove the car again it reinflated itself. Luckily I was doing about 3mph as I turned into my street.

    Disco 2 Rear Suspension issue

Yeah, the situation got worse...the nearside air spring exploded earlier on. It scared the absolute life out of me. I can only imagine that the sensor is faulty and the compressor kept topping the bag up with more air until it couldn't take it anymore. I will be phoning the garage in the...

    Disco 2 Rear Suspension issue

That's a good idea, thanks. Am I likely to need the sensors (whether swapped or new) to be calibrated afterwards?

    Disco 2 Rear Suspension issue

Hi folks, I have a weird air suspension issue and am not sure where the problem is. I was filling up with fuel yesterday and the passenger side randomly inflated itself to the maximum height. I ended up driving off with the car leaning over and found it corrected itself a mile or so down the...

What have you done to your Landie today.

I fixed both rear electric windows on my Disco 2 this morning. I though both had duff switches so swapped one of the switches from the centre console on to the rear door. It still didn't work, but happened to have noticed a spare wire behind the centre switch panel. It turned out the brown...

    Discovery 2 EGR removal/blanking

Technically, yes it is an MOT fail however...the EGR is underneath the engine cover and testers aren't allowed to remove covers etc. as part of the test. So, on that basis, if they can't see there is a blanking plate then they can't fail it :)

D2 activating headlights with lock button

My 2000 Disco 2 does this too. I found out by accident in a car park a few weeks' ago!

    Mirror Rocker broken

Thanks for your help Stanleysteamer - I left it overnight and it seems more secure...the mirror glass is now back on thankfully. I hate driving with a mirror missing!

    Mirror Rocker broken

Hi Discool, Its the diagonal piece of white plastic that acts as a rocker, it sits in the middle of the bracket that fits on to the glass but is fixed on the motor. I have included a reference pic, taken before the blasted thing broke. Mine has snapped at the bottom right, in between the two...

    Mirror Rocker broken

Somehow the little white piece of plastic behind the mirror glass has broken, and I'm struggling to get the mirror glass back on. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so how did you fix it?! I have tried Gorilla glue but it doesn't seem to hold enough for me to get the glass on.

    Disco 2 Door Gremlins

Haha! I said something similar Stanley steamer, until I tried it and the door still didn't work. This happens both when the car is and isn't running, so would agree with the mechanical issue. Perhaps as with my rear driver's door, a replacement of the door lock actuator may resolve? Nig43...

    Disco 2 Door Gremlins

Ever since owning my D2 (a year now), the rear driver's side door is slow to unlock, much slower than all of the other doors and sometimes take an extra press of the unlock button. On the same door, the electric window switch doesn't work however, I can control the window from the main switch...

    Sorry, newbie question ..

I've been pretty silent here for a while, reading other's posts and threads with interest. I have learned a wealth of information already...although I know there are thousands of things I don't know. I have a couple more questions I would like help with so will start separate threads for those...

    Sorry, newbie question ..

I had seen, but not read the manual page you included...apparently work comes first :(

    Sorry, newbie question ..

Neilly, I was referring to the lid covering the air suspension compressor rather than the main battery. It's useful information that shall be considered in future though! Stanley steamer, thanks for the information...I will look further into the wading advice in the manual. You'd like to think...
