hi all any body near kingswinford area who can loan rent sell me timing kit for petrol 4.4 with dreaded tensioner failure..need full kit i cant even find one for sale ...any guidance greatfully accepted ..mike its an 2004 ffrr

new glow plugs cured my problems 3 were u/s i changed all and its now good starter only done 170k

just to end...i did notice the metric difference..i did thread the internal of insert with same thread as normal head bolts..i loctited inserts in block 4off..Stripping was caused by torquing head bolts to book specs...motor is fine and was a complete success ..i dont own it now but i know new...

i read that it is possible to remove timing cover without removing sump or head..im at that point now..i have removed all bolts from front .reason.... engine revving at 1500 rpm and everyone seems to agree that timing chain wrongly timed or maybe jumped somehow ..i bought it this way ...i cant...

my 2000 diesel range rover is racing in idle at 1500rpm i have only just aquired car. it has a hot start fix and its connected to the very connection you mention, sensor by number 4 cylinder...i would like to remove this hot fix...as i think it may be causing this over fuelling ..what do you...

ok it seems some one as been inside fip or at least removed security bolt...but 1500 revs is a lot of over fuelling do i go for timing camshaft first or fip ..seems logical to do cam but im gonna follow advice given ..if it is of course...also spotted a hot fix device fitted..im goin to...

can you tell what to put in search to guide me thru cam timing procedure before i tackle fip..im thinking this is way to go but my ears are open ..ive nothad any experience with range rover diesels ...and where do you search is it the google custom search thanks in anticipation

hi ive just bought dse no one could start....anyway its running but like a pig..1500rpm..all idid was use faultmate to resync and squirt of the old ether and away she went...im guessing whoever did headgasket due to rad leak as not timed it properly..or fip out im not sure so thought id ask them...

slotted the tps and turned down idle speed ....easy when you know how..i must say how unhelpful ive found this forum to be ..

soory no the ecu as not been tested..

the car was running great apart from head gasket gone...i repaired that and cleaned plenum and intake new maf new stepper motor and put it all together now im stumped ,,,just races at 2000..looks like paying...i cant find any set up info on rave or such.....
