hi ive just bought dse no one could start....anyway its running but like a pig..1500rpm..all idid was use faultmate to resync and squirt of the old ether and away she went...im guessing whoever did headgasket due to rad leak as not timed it properly..or fip out im not sure so thought id ask them as know...before i invest in new dial gauge ..also strangely if you put foot on brake it cuts motor...so there it is 2000 in year 108k on clock.790 quid spent..where to start first???oh and 145 faultmate sync tool
 
can you tell what to put in search to guide me thru cam timing procedure before i tackle fip..im thinking this is way to go but my ears are open ..ive nothad any experience with range rover diesels ...and where do you search is it the google custom search thanks in anticipation
 
Don't use the Google custom search. Just below that and a little to the left (on my screen, anyway) is a pull down labeled "search". Use that.
 
ok it seems some one as been inside fip or at least removed security bolt...but 1500 revs is a lot of over fuelling do i go for timing camshaft first or fip ..seems logical to do cam but im gonna follow advice given ..if it is of course...also spotted a hot fix device fitted..im goin to remove that first and see what occurs..post soon
