    The gathering feedback fred

Hi I thought it worked really well. There are always gonna be a couple of things people are not happy with. But these were overshadowed by ALL the things that DID work as planned at about the time they were planned. Easier said than done ! Steve

    Disco td5 doesn't like starting

Mine would not start with less than half a tank of fuel if left a few minutes. It was the air bleed valve in the end. Steve

    ABS brake question...

Hi Yes I think that is about right 3-4 pushes. It should run for up to 20-30 seconds on the first operation and just a few seconds if it has been run recently

    Discovery 2 wont start

Hi I had a non starting problem accompanied with lots of lights on the dash. (2003 D2) Including stuff like over temp and no fuel. Happened intermittently with increasing frequency. It turned out to be one of the black earth wires going from the ecu near the battery was loose. Tighten it up...

TD5 Cam cover gasket oil leak

Hi I just did mine recently, it is not difficult. The bolts fit in plastic top hats, these need to be re-fitted carefully. Just make sure they are located fully before you start tightening the bolts One of mine was burred over which may well have been why it was leaking!

Disco 2 with body shudder at 60 - 70 mph

Hi I am pleased to say that changing the prop doughnut on my disco has completely sorted the vibration. As well as the very noticeable vibration at 60-70 it was obviously vibrating at other speed cos it is altogether quieter. Thanks for the excellent advice on here!

Disco 2 with body shudder at 60 - 70 mph

I await a solution with interest as mine is the same. just between 60 and 70, fine from 70 upwards. Only when being driven, not free wheeling in gear. All bearings, joints etc checked, new tyres. I think it has been there for a while its just got worse over the last year/20k miles cheers steve

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Started changing the seal on my sunroof (1991 glass sunroof) The lip round the edge is a little rusty but fixable. It all came apart ok which is a good start. Realised I had other more important things to do than play with cars so had to leave it for now..............
