have got 100psi across the pots, seems even. Does it need a rebuild now? It is down on power, blows very small amount smoke. Starts easy. cheers DW.

Anyone got 15x 7 rims and 31 x 10.5 R15s on their series III SWB. Offset +10? Any problems fitting this to a series III shorty.

Why buy poly bushes over the std rubber OEM bushes? Whats better ?

The rear diff has a humongous backlash. i was told there was no adjustment for that and its probably a worn crown wheel and pinion. Im no expert on diffs. Its not overly noisy but it feels like its going to give over any minute. DW.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to someone who reconditions LR Diffs and will post O/S. thanks DW.

Hello all. Need to replace the spigot bush and was wondering what the best way is to do it. is there any prep I should do to the bush before fitting? Soak in oil ?

Ive been told the noise came from badly worn input shaft / cluster gear setup, and bellhousing bearing (input shaft big bearing) was loose in the retainer. New 3/4 synchro hub (LR genuine) fitted as well. Ill fit the box on weekend and test it out. I didn't see the wear on the cluster...

Yes moves in and out of gear smoothly as long as the engine rpm is fairly low, synchro is not that good, it crunches from 4th to 3rd, and from 3rd to 2nd, for a synchro box it isnt very good in the downshifting. Might be shot baulk rings? double clutching works. The box has a new...

Gearbox makes a fairly loud rattling sound in 4th gear on the overun. Remnants of the same in 3rd gear., gearbox has new bearings, new mainshaft and gears. 1st and 2nd seem quiet.

Id check the gearbox mainshaft nut at the rear of the gearbox is tightened, spec is 100ft/lb torque.

If you want to get the cam to work properly you will need the heads modified, ie an upstaged head that has larger valves with featured port and polish. youll definately need extractors or better still (headers) and a double barrel or / twin carbs or a Holley or similar. If your going to cam...
