we run discoverys at work they dont go on road we had a discovery with an ecu with the immobiliser taken off we tried it on another discovery that wasnt running properly it runs fine but put it back onto the orignal discovery its like it has been immobilised it will fire up but near enough turn...

turns out it was the ecu top switch logged as failed second hand ecu on and it runs like a dream

disco 2 td5 not mapped all of a sudden today it cuts outs it will rev up to about 2700 then engine light comes on and cuts out straight away then if you turn ignition off give it a minute it will fire striaght back up runs fine untill you rev it up. if you try and fire it back up straight away...

Does your ttansferbox not have a high and low if its a 1 to1 box as if it does your rear axle isnt going to be the same speed depending on if tour in high a low? Your build is looking mega so far

They have longer input shafts on the discovery gearboxs and longer bell housings so would probably need different props

the sump is double skinned and you will have hell on trying to get it to seal up i have tried

check that your exhaust manifold ist leaking between it and the head as this will cause tapping noise had this problem on our 300tdi disco as the gasket had gone

it doesnt actually need to be moted if its registered as an agricultural vehicle so no tax but you can only run it on farm or within 10 miles of the farm and only for agricultural use so not worth 12k he wants 4 it and would cost far too much to get registered back for normal use worth about...

there are three bleed nipples on your calipers make sure you bleed from each one

count how many threads are showing before you unscrew them and put new ones back to the same amount of threads showing it should be near enough to get you to garage

just gotta swap he sender in the tank really tbh i didnt have any problem with the insurance but compared to a standard 300tdi disco ive no idea then uve gotta get it wired up and also get the wiring for the heater plugs on the engine

chuck a 300tdi in it but you will either need to get a spigot bearing made or put the another gearbox out of a diesel in it coz the input shaft is smaller on the v8 box when i did mine i just put 300tdi and r380box init
