    Turbo Actuator

Thanks Matty, I'll look at getting one at the end of the month, is it worth replacing bolts/studs while I'm there? Given mine are always caked in mud I'm guessing they're not going to give up easily

    Turbo Actuator

I was afraid of that, so far I just threw cash at hoping one of the fixes would work because they weren't particularly expensive but a new, even second hand turbo is a lot of cash to throw at something that might fix it but I don't see that I have much of a choice.

    Turbo Actuator

Yeah, then all the hoses are in the correct order but I just checked and the filter isn't in the best condition but still relatively free flowing

    Turbo Actuator

Thanks for the replies, It's an 05 and the hoses are in the same order as I took them off so I would guess thats a yes but I don't have RAVE so I can't be 100% sure on that. I moved the vent filter, I live on a farm with about a mile of dirt track for a front drive so it used to get blocked a...

    Turbo Actuator

Hi all, I had what seems to be the common problem where the check engine light came on intermittently, the power would drop but no error codes. I've finaly pinned mine down but to give you the history I also had a leaking HP fuel pump and a leaky injector so I thought if I had to strip so much...

    Sensor Wiring

I didn’t notice a trace, but at that stage it was late Sunday, the light and my patience were rapidily fading. I’ll check when I get home tonight thanks

    Sensor Wiring

Hi all, I did a clutch change at the weekend on my D2 TD5 which went as well as a D2 clutch change goes on a gravel drive...... Anyway I snapped a sensor wire pulling the bell housing off, its the sensor that sits under the turbo (the boost pressure jobbie I believe), it has one white and one...

Clutch, Diff, Final drive or something else?

Hi guys I could really do with some help diagnosing this one. Bear with me there are a few problems and I'm not sure whats relevant and what isn't. I recently I changed the disks, pads but after doing it I noticed a coupe of things one of which is definately new the rest of them I couldn't say...

    Electrical Gremlins

Its only on the code reader, I always thought it was a symptom of the HGF but now that's more or less sorted it was just irritating to have it come back up.

    Electrical Gremlins

Hi all, So I have this long standing non issue with my 03 1.8 Freelander, that I don't know if I should be worried about.... Ever since I bought it and no matter how many times I clear it I always have a P0480 Fan 1 Control Circuit error on the Hawkeye but I don't have any issues with the fans...

A quick question on the IACV

Hi all, Just taken off my IACV to clean, my question is/are Is it supposed to move freely when removed and what is its resting position? Mine is rock solid and about halfway open but no more gunk coming out when I spray it. Thanks

    Won't start after HG change

Thanks Alibro, I didn't check the crank pulley to be honest, I'll double check that at the weekend to. Camshaft pulleys are set correctly, they are currently both central and the crank pulley about half a tooth advanced (maybe a fraction less). Even if it is a timing position problem the cam...
