I now have my 1986 ex mod 110 defender N/A... I am kicking myself for not getting into landies before. Absolutely loving it, stuff to do but no complicated electrics to play with and simple engineering. Now also getting used to other landie driver waving to me all the time. Thanks for the advice...

Morning, I am looking at buying a 110 defender ex mod 1986. Is it normal to find it a imported on a on line vehicle check? Would that be because it was a military vehicle? I am not really sure if this should effect me buying or not. It was manufactured in 86 and first registered in 88. Thanks...

Is it just me that finds the MOT checking facility via VOSA a bit of a waste of time. If you are trying to find out the history MOT ( work, advisories and failures) you need the v5c number from the reg document or last mot certificate number. Why can't you check history without asking the owner...

Morning all, please could I have some advice about buying a 1986 2.5 N/A 110 defender? I currently have a 2000RR P38 but my wife wants a basic landie without the electrical gremlins of the RR. The 110 is an ex Mod lwb and in good nick with 155,000 on the clock. My wife has horses and I do a lot...

Found out the reason my p38 wouldn't start was I 40amp fuse on the starter...who would have thought an electrical problem that the car doesn't throw a fault code up for &#128521;

Thanks for the advice, it went into the garage today and it turns out the problem was a 40amp fuse on the starter...doh
