How often does the timing belt need to be changed on a 4.4 V8? Also any idea of costs? Looking at one next week and the seller does not know if the timing belt has been changed (I know), he took as a trade in, so no history. Just want to be forearmed with costs etc. Thanks

I am going to look at a 2005 L322 this weekend. It has full service history and looks to have been very well looked after. Mileage is approaching 145,000. What sort of mileage should I expect from a petrol engine? Is this one to avoid? Price is very attractive, hence why I am going to see it.
