kind of running now. there was an extra breather pipe outlet on the base of the carb that wasnt on my old 1. is now running but missing a bit, think the exhaust gaskets are leaking a bit!

my landy wont start now after ive fitted new manifolds and an almost new webber carb. i get the odd cough n splutter but thats about it? any ideas? its got fuel and ran before swapping the manifolds to replace a cracked one. :doh:

i had a disco about 2 years ago, was fun, a 2ootdi. it died in the end though unfortunately!!

hhm the first sounds most likely, as its had a new choke cable fitted. needs more investigating!!

one is white (i think) the other is blue and white (i think) there both a bit faded. hope this helps!

i know i had a series 3 that had a defender brake servo on it, was bodged in by the previous owner though as the pipe unions on the new pedal box are all metric, and old landys were imperial, so the union was rammed in and tightened up, knackering the threads and wasnt a good seal!

i have found some 4nattached wires im not sure what are for. there are some wires that come off the main loom near the master cylinder. there are 2 sets of wires, one goes through to the brake light switch, and im not sure what the others are for? any ideas? its a 72 21/4 petrol.

this is as i got it off ebay. the exhaust manifold is now non existant. the inlet has 4 studs to bolt the carb to it.

my old manifold has a 2 stud carb, the new one has 4 studs. im going to try and find a new exhaust manifold and bolt them together properly. are the 4 stud manifolds off a later series 3? mines a 1972.
