You can have problems where the rod goes through the swivel/pivot thing. If the threadlock nut on the end of the rod is over-tightened it can stop the pedal from going down or back up.

Hi Michael, The 200's a good choice. Mine's rarely let me down apart from the odd electrical gremlin. Look for a good chassis and bulkhead, mostly everything else can be fixed with Haynes and a hammer. A 1oz for fuses and a sledgehammer for panels. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty...

Okay, I've got the 265/70R16 trial 4x4 m+s. I use it for landscaping. So it gets used on a lot of different surfaces. On the motorway or a decent A-road it tops out at 80. There's a bit of tyre noise with the window down but it's hard to judge, what with the engine noise, transmission whine...

White smoke with a diesel is usually either fuel pump timing, fuel starvation. low compression or water mixing with the fuel. From your description it doesn't sound like low compression or starvation. So that leaves you with the timing, moisture in the fuel or blown head gasket/cracked...

:D It'll be fine. "Shot" will just mean it's past getting an MOT. Just drive it until the last bit falls off.

It runs to early td5's I think. Should be alright.
