Have you looked at the fuel rail??
As you have looked at the other parts! I.e. Pump and regulator!
As they are the only parts with fuel distribution on that side of the car??
Kev
Hi James,
Or it could be! Just clean up! Primer and patch paint??
Had to do some of that on mine! When it was being welding at the front!
As said on post! Look and try before buy
Kev 😁
I got my half-chassis about 4 1/2 years ago! But cant find the recipe for it yet!!
Cost was about £750 (at that time!). Took a couple of weekends to fix on.
Have a look around??
But! As above! Post some pics? Lots on LZ will let you know if ok...
Lucky I have decent ears. Heard you calling whilst in the Freelander section. ;)
I, like lots/most LR owners here, get my parts from the same places peeps in the UK do. My personal preferences are lrdirect.com and Rimmers. But your Paddocks...
No pics I notice of the underside of the rear chassis, and I'd have liked to see pics of the air supension both all the way up and all the way down.
Looks fair but in a sh!thole of a setting!
A quick visit to vehicle check I.e. MoT? Seems OK, MoT passed with a couple of advisories, seems that the major works were done previously??
One thing I did notice!! Not much wear and 'tear' on the drivers seat! 🤣😂
Other than that! Looks...
Thanks for the feedback - however I have to confess that I had misspelt the word deities - meant to say deities as in plural of gods diety, ended up using a d before eighties, as in the decade, almost like I was giving my age away by dropping...
You want to watch it with those "new (to me) words" Jay. 🤣 🤣 🤣
"coaxial" , "coplanar", "clevis" to say nothing of "deighties" which I have yet to look up. (I'm joking, I did enough maths to know the first two and somehow knew the third, as in...
not only a fantastic post Stanley, but it taught me a new word - bravo sir!
You mentioned looking at mundane hatchbacks and considered the alternative to be a classic land rover...
Hear me out before you hit autotrader for a people carrier, but...
All you questions can be answered via LZ search engine??
If you know your way around VWs! You should have no problems fixing?
Shop around for parts? (Don't know the landrover ownership down your parts? But @GrumpyGel?? (Christchurch)Was on LZ)...
Don't know about replacing the crank sensor, but I'd say Youl do just fine with the injectors/seals and the fuel pump.
To get to the injectors You just need to take the rocker cover off, the rocker shaft off and injectors are there. Unbolt them...
Its unlikely to be worth your expense to buy a tap, they can be quite expensive, just cover a bolt with oil, run it in and out and wipe it off, repeat a few times cleaning the thread out with brake cleaner or even wd40 would do the job.
I would agree with @Stanleysteamer see if you can purchase at 300tdi for the mechanical ease! But if you don't mind best of both! Look for Td5?
But! Make sure you do your homework?
300tdi are at the moment rockinghorse 💩 for a good one at the...
Unfortunately, I don't have any photos. Where the car was returned by the recovery truck was a bit of an obstruction, so I just had to get it running and back into the drive as quickly as possible.
There is a write-up that may give you a good...
You will need to pop over to LZ 'Introduce yourself'!! First?
People on LZ like to know who you are and what your driving? Also before, if you have not already, have a look in the search engine with your problem? As it may have your answer?
Did...
