    Good Landy Specialist near Glasgow

+1 for Elite Land Rover in Clydebank - Paul’s been looking after my D4 for a good few years now.

    Cover for Off-Road

Green lanes don't apply north of the border, so doesn't really help me :(

    Cover for Off-Road

I thought that having specialist insures like Adrian Flux was so that off-road driving would be covered. Guess not. I'll need to look elsewhere.

    Cover for Off-Road

Just got through my renewal with Adrian Flux - a pleasing £611. But...... On checking with the rep on the phone, that doesn’t cover off-road driving. The concession he arranged with the underwriters was that it would cover green-laning. As far as I’m aware, green lanes are considered part of...

    I might be thick.....

It's not that I don't want to join in the party - it's just that my technical knowledge and ability is woeful and any topic which deals with any model other than my own confuses me. Picture me standing in my drive, Disco in bits, saying to my wife "I know the post deals with a D2, but they're...

    I might be thick.....

Hi I've got a D4 and am only really interested in reading posts about the D3/D4. Is there a way of setting up filters on the site so that I don't see posts which aren't relevant to me?

    Off-road Cover for One Day

Yes - but at a cost of £400.....

    Off-road Cover for One Day

Hi I'd like to go on the Land Rover experience day, run by my local Land Rover Experience Centre, in my own vehicle (accompanied by an instructor from the centre). My standard insurance doesn't cover for off-roading and I've struggled to find a company which will provide short-term off-road...

    Disco v Freelander

Thanks for your thoughts. The roofbox option might be the best one for us. I like the gadgets etc in the Disco, but the main issue is space, which the roofbox would help with. You are spot on about the 7 seats - better for my wife to follow in her Evoque and pay a bit more in fuel than splash...

    Disco v Freelander

I'm in a bit of a quandry. I've got an FL2, which I love, but its boot is slightly too small for us (have recently acquired a labrador). Also, the additional 2 seats in the boot is an attraction when considering my wife's non-driving parents. I've seen a 59-plate HSE D4 with 44k on the clock...

    Declining Fuel Economy

Thanks - will give the car a blast on the motorway soon to see if that makes a difference.

    Declining Fuel Economy

Driving patterns haven't changed. Fuel may be an issue - have been using supermarket fuel, so perhaps using a more expensive premium fuel on next fill-up would be best. Is there an easy (i.e. cheap) way of checking the first two options on the list?

    Declining Fuel Economy

Hi My 59 plate FL2 has, since I got it 18 months ago, given me between 27 and 40 MPG. Recently, that's dropped way down to 29 - 30. I've checked the tyres and they are correctly inflated. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be, or what I could (easily) check?
