Thanks for the replies, its only for certain outings as i said, the forest runs are along the fire breaks which are usually very boggy and hard to get turned around if someone without a winch needs pulled out. I can see their point for needing a winch for these outings.

Time for an update on the progress of the rebuild. The floor and rear wheel arches were in a sorry state so I removed the floor as it had corroded into holes in places and the underside was in a worse state. New floor made, rear tub underside cleaned and all painted with aluminium...
