Morning all,

I've searched the forum, and failed to find the answer

My VIN starts 12A38... do I need the 3 hose kit, or the 2 hose kit (with or without sensor), also my air intake hose is split (see the the one in the top left corner of this pic):

Is there a silicone replacement for this also?

Don't know about which Vin No. needs what, but you just need to look at the existing pipework to see if you need a 2 or 3 piece kit.

If you have a plastic cylinder part with a sensor connected to it then a short piece of straight turbo pipe above and to the right of the dip-stick - then you need a three piece kit.

I got mine from Derby Performance Hoses - nice guys - visited their workshop, but they sell on eBay too.

If your intake hose is split then you need a 70mm diameter 250mm length of silicone air ducting - easily found - but the buggers only sell it in 500mm lengths. I got mine from Auto Silicone Hoses.

My advice would be to check / replace the Jubilee clips too - preferably with a T-Bolt one on the lower join of the 90 degree bend (where the pipe joins the EGR unit or the by-pass pipe)

This would be a good time to throw away the EGR unit if you still have one.

All my silicone pipes / hoses are now blue - looks great. :D :D :D

Not sure I understand where I should be looking

Sometimes I think my parents DID name me appropriately!

Remove the engine cover Rich!

2 part kit required, thanks for help.
