couple of common things that'll cause it.......... faulty brake light switch and throttle cable too tight

Thanks, the dealer said the light came on when he was fiddleing with the yellow switch! theres a bit of a wobble over 65mph, any causes for that aswell!
we just had a baby and i bought this for my wife so she would be safe!!! is she doing any damage driving it around, it wouldnt be binding would it!
any advice greatly appreciated!

jitsu :)

Ayup Jitsu,
Keep yer eyes on my post re the HDC not engaging, either Hatters or myself will bung up a picture of the connectors for you to check the wires, if thats involved. If the dealers been trying the HDc trigger it may well be in there. Failing that, if you've only just bought it, take it back to him and let him sort it! I'd probably look at that as your first option mate.

Hi, new to this, but i have had this problem on mine, fixed it by replacing switch just under gear lever rubber cover (could be just plug disconnected)

Switch is only cheap

Dead right James, problem is its normally the wires come out of the connector car side(if you know what I mean) which then needs soldering back in. Good place to put a wire(with not enough slack) on the bit of the mechs probably moved the most. Its like putting the brake light switch on the brake pedal itself, instead of the floorpan..
