The hill descent, traction control & ABS lights are staying on all the time on my Disco TD5 (1999)

I've done some research & I'm confused! It would appear the problem could be caused by a number of things, either a faulty wheel sensor, faulty ECU or gremlins in the cars computer.

Can someone please provide some clarity & suggest the best & most cost effective course of action to get this problem sorted?

Regards

This seems to be the most widely accepted method when the three amigo's appear. s'what I'd do anyroad.

Hi there, if you discover how to get these warning lights off, can you please let me know? These same lights are lit up in my disco, still runs like a dream and everything is working, any information would be greatly appreciated.

The Three Amigos...

check over the ABS sensors at the hubs for grime/contamination or fractured wiring, excesive play in the wheel bearing apparently can also cause this fault? also check the electrical coupler just beyond the grommet on inside the inner wing...

if that dont turn anything up, then get the faults read on a Testbook computer.

No real answer for you but my own experience, THE THREE AMIGOS is what I was told to search for on here and yes you will be confused to all the ways people think of correcting this known fault, as one thread suggests LR should admit this as a common fault and recall/put right.

None the less, mine was front wheel sensor Inde garage put right for me.

Thanks for the responses folks. It would seem the best course of action is to get the car into a garage & have them put it on a testbook.

I live in Kidderminster in the West Midlands, can anyone recommend a suitable garage (within 20miles) that could carry ouit this work?

Regards,
Kevin
