Magnets :)

Thought i'd share a cheap top tip:

Bought some very strong magnets from ebay - cheap: 5 Very Strong Neodymium Disc Magnets 15x2 mm models craft magic 15mm x 2mm | eBay

Put em on:

1 on oil filter
1 on sump drain bolt
1 on gearbox drain bolt
1 on transfer box drain bolt

Put the last 1 on the fuel filter

Total 'magnetic' protection for your landy £3.30

Nah - thats snake oil mate

The idea of the magnets on the filter and drain bolts is to pick up any particles of metal in the oil and hold em - til the next oil change

They are VERY strong mate - but i'm not sure they would survive a blast off a jet washer??

ah did wonder i have thought about buying the magnetic sump plug etc didnt think about feul or oil filter though let us know if it works

doesn't the gearbox have one already, its either that or the transfer that does.
neo magnets are VERY strong, would stand up to a jetwash, and offroad, unless they get physically shoved off if you ground it.

Oh it works mate!!!
Because the magnets are VERY strong all particles of ferrous metal are attracted to the magnet and are held there! No matter how small !

Try it - you might be surprised by whats floating about in your oil

Mine wasn't when i did the oil change the other day - just a normal bolt
