i needs help! i want a defender, io have decided upon either a 200 or 300tdi and have my heart set on a 90, however im sort of thinking maybe a 110 lol, i want to be able to do green lanes in north to mid wales most sundays and also plan on a few trips to the local quary and some other off road sites so figured get a 90, however i really want to do a lot of camping and month long trips to europeish, ill have about 4000 to buy the vehicle and toys, i,e camping stuff and a lift kit, snorkel etc. any suggestions on what would best suit my needs, im 6ft but like th idea of a roof tent.

Yer can't get anything more than about 3 foot long in a 90 and yer definitely can't kip in the back of one. Plus they are not better off road.

Well if iwas wanting to go out about like you i`d go for a 110. i got 90 pick up and sometimes struggle to get large things in!

hey hughesy where bouts anglesey u live? i live near caernarfon!!!:D

been llangefni today! to golf club. maybe u should forget land rover den and get a 7.5 tonne lorry:D or chuck the wife lol:eek:

money u save from wife goin could employ a maid and buy a brand new defender :D i`ve seen a series 3 i wana buy it only 400 quid! but her upstairs says no can`t have it!! But we`ll c lol

I'd suggest a 110 for camping and trips etc just because of the extra room, preferably a hard top (no windows in back side panels) for extra privacy and what not! I can't fit a bike in the back of my 90 without having the front forks sticking over the bulkhead and onto the front seats! But then again, I do prefer 90's over 110's in general!

Check the chassis over anything

110 110 110 !!!!!

Running costs are practicly identical, 90 has a better turning circle, but 110s are much more practical if you plan on putting stuff, or people, in your landy. Ive spent some time off roading in wales, and im dam glad i went for a 110 for the above reason and that i can sleep in it.

A 90 is half a landy! :p :D :p Dam right im sitting here stuck, with my chassis sitting on a log, again!

I can quite easily get 2 9'6" surfboards inside me 110 which is a proper bonus in the winter when it's cold and you don't want to climb on the roof messing about with straps etc. Two people can kip in the back and still have room to stow a load of gear. It's a more stable towing vehicle than a 90 esp when you've got a big heavy trailer on. I can get a huge amount of fencing materials in the back so no need to tow a trailer across a muddy field. No contest really.

get a 110. I've a 90 and regretted it from the day I bought it!no room in it, ya cant even fit a bike in it ffs!you can fit a bike in a micra!i mean u CAN fit it in, but then u have to drive with ur head out the window. Totally impractical, for any kinda campin, trips, etc. Also a 110 is obviously sooo much better for passengers.

wish i got a 110 :(
