Hi guys / girls, just been on the phone for half an hour to Neil at Rakeway Engineering....what a nice fella. I needed a replacement clutch for my TD5 110, and have seen differing opinoins on these kits.

The main consensus from other posts is that the kits are really good, excellent quality, and last forever, although you can get increased noise (clutch rattle) and they cost a small fortune (£700)

The kits consists of

  • Solid flywheel, which alleviates the many issues Variable Mass Flywheels have.
  • Clutch Friction Plate ( All Made by AP, exact plate depends on kit.
  • New flywheel bolts ( this flywheel is slightly thinner)
  • Aluminium Release Bearing and carrier ( alleviates molten plasticc problem)

The kits are really good. Quality is second to none, Service is really good, I was given tonnes of friendly info and advice.

The prices are not that bad, for the vast majority of owners, when compared to OEM parts...

Stage One Kit £340 + VAT + £15 P+P £417
This is for standard engines, or mildly tuned engines

Stage Two Kit £435 + VAT + £15 P+P £529
This is for Tuned / Chipped Intercooled engines

Stage Three Kit £740 + VAT + £15 P+P £887
This is for High Performance and Challenge Trucks

Stage Four Kit £640 + VAT + £15 P+P £770
This is for Track and Competition Motors. (this kit is cheaper because it uses a 9.5" diameter clutch instead of 10" on stage 1,2,3

Here comes the crap we all feel compellled to write...
I'm not his husband, partner, lover, solicitor, loanshark, or any other relation, however I am a satisfied customer, and seeing as the only thing that put me off rakeway kits aws the supposedly ridiculous costs, I thought I'd let everyone know the prices.

More info on each kit is available on his website
