Beware! No-Fear-Sales

This site contains affiliate links for which LandyZone may be compensated if you make a purchase.
Just sent this off to several 4x4 mags and suggest others do the same.

"Some of you may have heard from me before re this but one of my innocent customers has just been stuffed in a right royal fashion by Gwent 4x4 (aka No Fear 4x4, Tymwald66, 4x4 Breakers etc) and I feel it is really time for someone to stand up and be counted. I am not naïve enough to think that they are the only dodgy dealers in 4x4 spares but they are continuing to get away with it time and time again. Try ordering something from them to see if they know a TD5 from a Series 2A and look at what they offer on ebay under tynwald66 at present – rolling chassis with V5 for £1000????

See links below amongst others if you do not believe me:

So, come on chaps, all those who fancy themselves as investigative journalists stand up and be counted, pick up your pens and paper, mount your glistening white chargers and head for Chepstow!
Alternatively persuade your magazine advertising departments to stop taking adverts from these felons if nothing else as it erodes your editorial integrity as many innocents believe what they read both in the articles and the adverts……

Hi,

I just want to let others know about a trader off ebay selling landrover spares called No-Fear-Sales.
I ordered some parts from him last week and was assuerd they would be with me the next day. Giving him the benefit of the doubt left it till after the weekend, I contacted him on monday and was told it was in the post and to give it till the end of the day. So after the postman had been today got back on the phone, After quite a few calls He finaly gave me a tracking no for tnt. I contacted tnt to be told no such item had been collected from him or was being sent to my address. So i got back on the phone and told him this to wich his tone changed to being defensive towards me, When I asked him for a refund he refused saying he couldn''t until he got the goods back from tnt which is never going to happen. So I will have to sort this out.
I'm not after advise on this as I am sorting it but just want to warn other landrover owners looking for spares

I have also come to learn that he uses a few other names such as
maxed_up_07
fear_2_be
no fear mx
no fear off road

and also has a web site

Landrover Breakers, Freelander Breakers, 4x4 Breakers

Having read a few other forums it seems as though this guy is a bit of a scam artist and has left a trail of very unhappy customers.

if anyone has been scammed by this guy let me know how you got on.

Karl
Does anyone know if they have moved addresss again as courts need to find them.

Think the Chepstow address still holds or try:
THE FORGE
LOWER COMMON
AYLBURTON
GLOS
GL15 6DR

also beware tynwald66 and Gwent 4x4 - in fact anyone selling 4x4 parts in Chepstow probably..........

LAND ROVER 90 DEFENDER ROLLING CHASSIS OTHERS IN STOCK on eBay (end time 07-Jan-11 20:35:52 GMT)

for related stuff.
I suggest complaining to trading standards, magazines where they advertise and ebay. Took me weeks to get my money back but eventually credit card company did a charge back in full. don't give up!

This guy Ed Fear is a stupid, arrogant b******! He 'sold' me a fuel tank for my wife's Shogun, promising "3 to 5 days delivery." This was repeated each and every time I phoned him until, at last, and after almost a fortnight, he admitted the tank had not even been sent! Now my wife's car is off the road until Mitsubishi produce a new tank.
Every single thing Fear told me was a lie, even as I tried to get my cash refunded.
I STRONGLY advise not to touch this guy with the proverbial barge-pole!

Suggest you complain to the magazines or ebay - wherever you got their name from in the first place as they keep giving them a thin veneer of respectability by taking their money for adverts...............

Re: GWENT 4x4 - NO FEAR Breakers (Dont be fooled by the name change, its the same com
Two recent quotes from posts on http://www.findabreaker.co.uk/compon...=6&start=30#93 :

"Dont buy anything off ed fear, hes a lier, sells dodgy goods. Iv learnt the hard way! i have so far found 8 names theyve traded under, and 4 on ebay. Latest being Jodie2112,do not buy anything off this person either, its his girlfriend!! Been well and truely conned, but he will not get away with it this time!!"

"Please do take em down...report them to everyone .....we have but no one seems to listen...the last story we got was a guy who bought an engine off him.....oh dear its engine number has been taken off...not heard from him but think he is going to the police.....Ed himself is driving a nicely, newly built red landy 90 on a stolen chassis.....yes a stolen chassis guys, he took parts from our car an swopped em with **** ones when he had it.....GO TO THE POLICE PEOPLE......trading standards are VERY interested to hear all ur stories as they are building a case against him....the ones in GWENT...ring em...cause Edward WONDER BOY FEAR ( Facebook profile) as much hassle as poss....he cant keep getting away with it BUT HE IS!!!!"

The important point is to put out info re Jodie2112 on Ebay to warn others to add her to the no-go list and note Ed Fears Facebook details if you want to bug him, not that I would encourage that of course!
Keep watching and spreading the word.

Unless you can prove 100% of the above i'd remove this post..slander, even on the net, is a costly business.......

Storm's absolutely correct.

Saying you've had a problem and suggesting people contact trading standards if they've had a similar experience is one thing, making more general accusations about someone ripping people off and being a bit of a crook, (even if they are true), can count as defamation, and can drop you, or more to the point, the forum's owner, in the ****.

That said, i see the muppet in question is one of the sellers who are flogging land rover IDs on ebay, and is clearly a weapons grade ****.

Can I suggest that everyone reads the full thread here and elsewhere and decides for themselves if the quotes and others are true. Others have been scammed and conned very badly and something does need to be done about them...........

People are free to make up their own minds, yes, thats called an opinion...saying someone is a thief and driving round in a landy with a stolen chassis is not an opinion, its either a fact or untrue...if its untrue then whoever posted is liable if a slander case was opened in a civil court...

I'm actually trying to defend YOU here....

I do appreciate that but as a point of interest how does quoting what others are saying on other forums put me, or this site, at risk? It is recorded as a quote in quotation marks.
