cant tell a great deal from the pics but .......

in pics 2 and 4 the suspension doesnt seem level. might be how its parked but its caught my eye. its had a tdi engine put in - by who? did the person fitting it know what he was doing and is it done right/does everything work? listing says its been waxoyled recently - still looks like alot of visible rust/brown stuff under it so has it been waxoyled to cover something up or is it just a half job (if your under there treating it then an extra hour to clean an paint other visible bits is nothin). the milage is listed at 70k odd, is this the milage singe the tdi engine was fitted? is it the total milage of the tdi engine in its origional car and this 1 or is the real milage 300k? how many miles has the chassis/rest of the car actually done? and lastly why was the rear door replaced? rusty door or had a rear ender?

am i sceptical of a car on egay? VERY!! it might be a really nice car in good condition an i might be way off the mark - but always worth wondering;)

I've bought loads of motors off ebay over the years. If you want one for a keeper you'd better go look at it before you bid. Sellers that give only a vague description are usually doing it for a reason. I buy stuff that's spares or repair these days and sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised but on the whole it's usually the other way round.

I always become a bit sceptical when the terms and conditions (waffle) says more than the description ... ;)

judging by where the air filter has been placed, who ever fitted it didn't know what they were doing!

not telling you how to suck eggs but as with all Landies, it depends what your looking for and how much work you willing to do (and are capable of doing ie.. welding) as a project like that could easily go into the ££££'s to get to a standard you want it without putting in the spanner time

also...
Exterior: Catalytic Converter
er? what?!

I'd probably put in £1200 if I was in the market (after a good viewing and nothing severe caught my eye)

just my 2p's worth though
