For thoughs of you out there who are like me and have a great passion for landy's and think oh bollocks ill never be able to get insurance well your wrong!!
There is a broker called flux direct if you call them or visit their site and try to get a quote there, I am 19 and drive a 3.5l v8 much better than my friends corsa and a lot to insure I pay just over a grand but that's coz I thought outing a disco v8 engine was funny.

Things you need to know;
You must of held your drivers licence for a full year
The landy must be pre 1990 (1989 and before)
Must be a 90/110 or series 1,2 and 3 of any size
Not 100% on the 127/130's would have to check
Sometimes works on carbureted 3.5 range rover models but is quite abit more than the others

Hope I have helped everyone out if you need more help just leave a message on here/ profile or even a private message

Regards 90maniac

Yeah it's brilliant any other car is at least 2000 for a 1 lite so I'd rather have 3.5, haha it never works not only did I get it cheap insurance but I bought it for 375 quid so u can imagine the problems lol

wow, can't complain at £375 really. Landy's never work, the joy is it's never that hard to fix them yourself!

I learnt to drive in, then drove a 90 Diesel when i was 17, had it until i was 20, completly agree it beats any of those little corsas and similar everyone else seems to have

Well know I did get it off ma dad lol, had to put a new engine in it so far, chassis is solid had new crossmember and an out rigger and some suspension mounts but not bad just electrics are ahafted lol, well my first car was a 96 disco on ma mums insurance a commercial one was cheap for insurance then gt expensive so got rid and bought the 90 off ma dad but it is not bad to fix some stuff trying to get a slave cylinder for lt85 gearbox but can't find one that I can get before tomorrow lol oh I can't drive small cars just feel so bad and cheap lol

It's always in garden that's why lmao, oh yeah ur only up road, i use bolt on bits a lot so I'm suprised u haven't, or herd it lol, my Chavy mates keep asking wht exhaust I have and I'm like standard don't need silly end cans with real cars/engines

so far flux have covered me on a 1995 2.8 mitsi shogun and a 1993 200tdi disco, while I've been under 25 for reasonable costs.

the shogun insurance was the same I was paying hastings for a 1.25 fiestard, a bit later the disco cost the same as I was paying on a 1.9tdi 306 with I forget who.

If your looking for decent led bulbs yes some odd badges yes anything else not really I just go for less mainly

It doesn't make any sense coz I can't find anything as cheap if I had a standard 90 it would of been 773 but a standard corsa is like 2100 or something it's stupid

90 maniac how are they with you as an insurance compant, i.e are they a good easy going broker or are they a nightmare like the one im with?? iv seen them on comparethemarket and was well lets say very happy to see that i could have a v8 defender for 800 fully comp when my 1.2 v reg clio is goin be 1700 even with a years no claims.

This thread has been up for 5 days and no one has posted "We need pictures", tut tut how the standards on LZ have slipped lately....:behindsofa:

It's the cold weather.
Mind you when the thread starts by telling us about one of the forum sponsors it's a bit difficult to take it seriously and keep reading.

:D
