Evening all!

First of, great website. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks after seeing a disco 2 that I liked on fleabay. Although I was out bid at the last minute (a message from god perhaps) a guy at work has offered me his disco 2 TD5 ES 7 seater for a decent price. The only thing thats stoipping me is the apparent lack of off roading venues near by. I've heared that Coney Green and Wildmoor are now closed?

Anyway, I'll post up again when I finally get my first landy and no doubt I'll try to tag along on a trip out!

Taint changed any,still a poxhole

Stourbridge College must be doing really well as there's now going to be 3 whole Whetherspoons on the high street! Kids gotta go somewhere!

It was the Art and Tech college back then in the 80s. The fine art campus was at he top of the road and consisted of a few huge Edwardian style houses in grounds. They were opposite the serious building where the glass course and other tech stuff was. At the bottom of the road was the the print and photography building where I mostly was. It became part of Wolvhampton Poly after that. We used to drink in The Swan which was near a cross roads. That was a Banks pub run a fella called Mick. Some days we would be in there for 13 hours straight! We used to get the train to Brum on a Saturday morning. Now let me see if I can remember. It used to stop at Lye, Cradley Heath, Smethwick, Smethwick Rolfe St?..... I can't remember the rest. Can anyone help me!

I still drink in The Sawn, and The Crispin. Did you drink in The Chequers at the top of the high street because thats gone now, it's (yup, you guessed it) a Whetherspoons. And The Meeting Place, thats gone and is now a bar. Having said that, the roads are still pretty bad so I guess it's getting more and more like 'green' laning!

Yes, I remember The Chequers as well. I was at Art College there from '82 to '85
