I've just suffered from another puncture. I was only driving along a farm track. A normal car could do it if it had high ground clearance... Again, something sliced the sidewall. My tyres are road biased (due to having stupid 17" alloys) and are supposed to be suitable for "20% off road". Out of interest, are all tyres as vulnerable to sidewall damage? Not sure what the best move is really. At this rate, I will need a new middle section too soon given that it likes to kiss the ground!

Here's the lane where I got the puncture. The surface was pretty much the same all along.

Gutted for you as i bet they're not cheap, there's not much you can do to avoid sidewall cuts apart from being careful, the lane doesn't look too bad though. I trust your pressures were all correct?
What tyres are you using?

Just checked and realised that it's the only tyre which I haven't replaced since I bought the car. I suppose that's a good thing.

It's a Goodyear Eagle NCT5 225/55R17/ 97W. Don't think it's designed to be used on 4x4's!
