Two options left either the drivers door catch has failed and spiked the becm
Really need the becm and engine ecus testing to see
Have you tried the key in ignition battery off turn key to running position refit battery and they and start if this fails then becm fault

hi vogue, drivers door lock must be working as i can see the sidelight light coming on the dash after each turn left or right.
yes tried putting the key in the ignition took off battery then reconnected battery and still no joy.

spoke to a chap today regarding the range and he may think the becm has locked and he has quoted me 800 quid for a new becm is this right?might just sell it as it is then as a non runner

Could be a stab in the dark, but what about RFI in the area? Are you near a petrol station or something emitting loads of interference?
Mine fails at certain petrol stations (found 2 now), had to push it away from the forecourt then the EKA worked.

Had the same problem when i let my P38 stay with 4 or 5 others at an indy for more than a month. Either low battery or RF but i had incorrect code even without entering any. Thought directly about locked becm and stuff. Mate with a Testbook came and started after setting the thing in Australia market and disable EKA code.

hi guys heres an update on the car, decided yesterday to disconnect battery, ecu, becm and leave overnight, then this morning i thought i will phone my local lr stealer and check all the codes etc match with whats in the service book in the car.
After speaking to the stealer they informed me that the eka code was 1 digit wrong so i had to go down with log book, drivers licence and £24 and was given the code again.
got home reconnected the becm, ecu and battery then re-entered the eka and yes shes now unlocked and turns over, however i think the fuel pump is not working in the tank, cannot hear any priming noise have checked fuses and the relay.is there anything else that i can do before i change/check the fuel pump?
the red light on the dash goes out and the check engine light all comes up fine.
please help.
