Either you have corroded connections somewhere or, some dummy has tried to jump start it with a reverse connected battery and blown the ECU's to bits:eek:

check the earth to chasis from battery, failing that it is a question of elimination.
at least it has a definite fault lol

hi yes it is red brought it from a private sale by word of mouth from southend and like 1 person says at least its got a def fault to work with

if this is the one that has tried to be started using a 24volt booster,if it has then i would think that the BECM has been burnt out.plus there could be other things that could be ruined as well.

its a n reg with cream leather interior got a little bit of t and t left on it-- so whats this about someone trying to jump start one with a 24v set up thanks

there was a bloke on here a couple of weeks ago asking about his p38,he said because he could not start it he tried to start it with a 24 volt jump starter pack,if this is yours then i'm afraid it will prob cost you a good few bob to put it right, can you put a pic of your p38 on here for us to look at,then we might be able to see if it is the same one.he also had it on ebay,or gumtree i think it was.
