Good afternoon Ladies and Gents,
Looking at getting a freelander this weekend as I now have to go the back roads to work to a new job, and I'm fed up of my current car with low profiles getting smashed to bits, just looking at a chugger to get about in, only used to go back and forward to work in so not that fussy about performance now.
Not looking for a Disco, before you say it, to big for what I need....
So what are the highs and lows?
Both that I am looking at have 100K+ on the clocks
Both have cam belt changes, the EXdi had one 34K ago and the TD4 40K ago, so that will need changing, I hope a friend of mine can do it on the cheap being a land rover mechanic.
After reading through a few bits the EXdi seems to hold up a little better, going to be doing about 400 miles a week in it.
No doubt after driving for a week I will be asking how to get some more power out of it, coming from 180bhp to below 100bhp.
