On the way from work last night I heard a grumbling sound about 1/4 mile from home .
When I got up this morning I started car and grumbling was still there ,on inspection there is a tensioner pully sticking out of the cam belt cover.
As the engine ran this morning with no obvious noise apart from the pulley disintegrating what are the odds on this engine of the valves being bent.
n removing as much of the cam cover as much as I can in the limited space available ,1 side of the belt has tension and 1 seems slack.
Does anyone have any info available on changing this as garage prices seem expensive ,
thanks
Neil

If the engine was running ok then you've probably caught it in time. A few of the guys on here have done their belts & will give you advice on this but get yourself a service manual.
