.. and no, it's not the wife ...
My 2000 year Freelander XDI has developed a low but constant tinny whine while in motion (backwards or forwards). It's low but audible and disappears when the clutch pedal is pressed.
Initially it was only really noticeable at speeds above 30-40mph but now its pretty constant.
Local clutch specialist took it for a test drive and said the clutch was fine
For info the car has done 140k miles, the IRD was replaced last January and it is now in mondo mode with props and VCU removed. Rear diff mounts do need doing tho ..
Any advice would be appreciated, apologies for the vague description.
